Tyson Foods Honors Sherry Bryant

Keystone Food Service is proud to congratulate Sherry Bryant, who has been named a recipient of the 2024-2025 Tyson Foods Hunger Heroes Award. Sherry, a valued member of Carney Public Schools for nine years, was nominated for this award by a local community member. Her dedication to her role and her commitment to providing delicious meals have not gone unnoticed. Upon winning, Sherry expressed her gratitude by saying, "I feel blessed and greatly appreciated by everyone. Words cannot explain it."

As a member of the Keystone team, Sherry always prioritizes Grandmother Standard #1. "Everything I make, I do as if I'm cooking for my kids and grandchildren. As a lunch lady, I'm in the children's lives daily and want their trust that I will provide a delicious meal every time."

Sherry's tireless efforts extend beyond the kitchen. She is committed to ensuring that every child in the cafeteria is not only adequately fed but also cared for. "I want the children to feel that every plate I've made is just for them, and children with limitations should never feel different. I cannot and will not let a child leave the cafeteria without eating a meal. I do a lot of research to ensure that each meal is the same for everyone."

Sherry's hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed by the students, school administrators, and members of the Carney community. You can read the full story here.
